1. Who controls your data
Rental.im determines the purposes and means of processing for personal data collected directly through this website. External accommodation, car and rental providers are separate controllers for information you submit on their websites.
2. Data we process
- Search information, including rental category, destination, dates, guests, duration and filters.
- Technical and security information, such as IP address, browser, device information, timestamps and request logs.
- Provider interaction data, including the result selected, provider, price shown, click identifier and referral parameters.
- Contact and business information submitted through supplier, alert or other forms.
- Consent preferences and, only where permitted, an anonymous persistent Rental.im session identifier.
3. Why we process data
We process data to provide searches and comparisons, protect the service, prevent abuse, record provider hand-offs, measure service performance, respond to requests and comply with legal obligations. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are used only after the required consent.

- Performance of a service requested by you, including search, comparison and provider redirection.
- Legitimate interests in service security, fraud prevention, aggregate performance measurement and commercial attribution, balanced against your rights.
- Consent for optional cookies, analytics and advertising.

5. Recipients and external services
We may share limited referral data with the provider you choose. When you open an external provider website, that provider receives your browser request and applies its own privacy policy. The accommodation map may request map tiles from map infrastructure. Hosting, security and professional service providers may process data under appropriate obligations.
6. International transfers
Some external providers may operate outside your country or the European Economic Area. Their own transfer mechanisms and privacy terms apply after you leave Rental.im. Where Rental.im appoints a processor in another jurisdiction, an available lawful transfer mechanism is used where required.
7. Retention
Security and search event records are normally retained for up to 12 months, unless a longer period is required for fraud prevention, accounting, disputes or legal obligations. Contact requests are retained for the time necessary to handle the request and any related commercial relationship. Consent preferences remain for up to 180 days.
8. Your rights
Depending on applicable law, you may request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability or objection, and you may withdraw consent at any time through Cookie settings. Send privacy requests to privacy@rental.im. You may also complain to the data protection supervisory authority responsible for your country or place of residence.
9. Ranking and automated processing
Rental.im may automatically rank results by comparable price, value, distance or user-selected filters. Sponsored results are labelled and excluded from Rental Index calculations. Rental.im does not make legal or similarly significant decisions about users.
10. Security and changes
We use technical and organizational controls designed to protect data, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. We may update this policy when the service, providers or legal requirements change. The date above identifies the current version.
